Computer Labs.
The Department of Mathematics is equipped with several computer laboratories to support learning, research, and academic activities related to computational mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. These facilities are designed to provide students and lecturers with access to modern computing resources and a conducive environment for both theoretical and practical learning.
Laboratory A
Laboratory A is equipped with 30 computers and serves as a venue for regular undergraduate courses, such as programming, numerical methods, and applied statistics. The lab is also used for training sessions, workshops, and small-group research projects that require focused interaction between students and instructors.
Laboratory B
Laboratory B accommodates 50 computers, providing greater capacity for larger classes and collaborative learning activities. This lab supports computational modeling, data science projects, and software-based mathematics courses. It is also often used for practicum sessions, student competitions, and research-based assignments.
Faculty Computer Laboratory
In addition to departmental facilities, students also have access to the Faculty Computer Laboratory, which houses more than 100 computers. This centralized facility is shared across departments within the Faculty of Science and Mathematics and is equipped with updated hardware and software to support advanced computation, simulation, and data processing tasks.
Together, these computer laboratories ensure that students of the Department of Mathematics have ample access to digital learning resources, modern computing environments, and the technological infrastructure necessary to enhance their academic and research capabilities.
